Yea, thats the only bad thing. You have to go both days now. Saturday is to qualify and sunday is racing. If you go to Nopi's website, they'll have a link to M.I.R. Its southern Maryland. Takes me about 2hrs from Bel Air, so tack on another hour or so for you. Hope to see you guys.

Hey guys. Its 11pm on Saturday night and I just got home from Nopi. I didn't qualify for tomarrow. I have some kinks to work out to say the least. If theres a silver lining, I can say Ray built me one hell of a car and IT WILL go 9's, just not today, lol.....
I got 3 qualifing passes. The bump spot was a 10.70.....I didn't want to lean on the car so I turned the boost down to 30psi till I got used to the car.
First pass, line lock didn't work and I couldn't do a burnout. So building 30psi on the line with the anti-lag and cold tires don't work too well. I spun till 3rd gear and ran a 11.40@137mph with a 2.50 60'.
Second pass wasn't much better. I messed with the line lock thinking it was me doing something wrong. Turns out it was just not working, but again, I ended up not doing hardly any burnout. Spun like hell out of the hole again, went a 11.00@134mph with a 2.0 60'
3rd and last qualifing run I decided to just go old school and heel/toe a a burnout. It worked great, just like ole times. I was stoked at the line. Guy next to met staged early as hell so I was hurried and like a dumb *** I didn't let the antilag come up on boost enough and when I popped the clutch I almost stalled out. I looked like a total ***. I actually had a 3.4 60' Hell I could have ran faster. So coming to a dead stop at the 80' mark and starting from there I still ran 135mph. So with the whole track it would have been close to 140mph. Long story short, when I launch this bitch with a good burnout, she's gonna run! Just gotta wait till next week to do it....lol

New set up takes getting used to! You get a thumbs for being there and not racing from the bench. Also it sounds like your takeing home all your parts thats a plus. Good luck next time im sure it will go better.

Hell yeah man, I want some damn track time so bad!!!! Thats why I desided to quite buying "upgrades" and just put it together and start racing it. Nice to see you went out and got some racing with your new setup under your belt. Can't wait to see your results next time.

Not really. It can and have been done before. What is difficult is dealing with all the stock parts breakage.
Good luck.

Ernie,

Since you're trapping over 135MPH looks like you will need an NHRA license now or did you get it already?

Requirements here...
