You can whoop up on some supras but there is a few dangerous ones in that class. And there is a 9.8 second DSM that is consistant. Get your Car to run low 10s consistant even High 9s and You should be a dominant factor.

Greg!
NIRA is no longer in operation!
NHRA IMPORT bought them out and the ex-director of NIRA, Craig Liberman is working with NOPI now!

I noticed that there are no races in Sacramento. I take it that the Raceway will be closing soon. I haven't heard much from anyone. The people that work at the track didn't say much about it.

I had bought my house up the street from there. Damn, I am going to miss listening to the revs late Friday and Saturday night.....goin to miss unlimited drag nights also....

I wonder if they are going to open another track somewhere....close?

Does anyone have a link to the Class definitions?

What does it mean to be in street class, a street licenced car?

I know it's import racing. Do they care what's under the hood?

Do the cars need a scatter shield?

I looked at the rule book.
No engine swaps, unless it's from the same company.

Booo.

Here is the rule:

Engine manufacturer must
match vehicle chassis manufacturer. Brother-company
substitutions are allowed, such as Lexus/Toyota,
Nissan/Infiniti, Honda/Acura. Domestic manufactured
engines (Ford, GM, Chrysler) are limited to four-cylinders
and OHC six cylinders. Engine must be
located and configured in OEM location. Setting engine
forward or back is allowable when and only when
modified engine mounts attach to factory mounts on the
frame or cross-member assembly. Changing engine
from transverse configuration (East-to-West) to
conventional (North-to-South) is not allowed. Engine
type (# of cylinders) and the number of power adders
will establish minimum weight breaks along with drive
configuration (FWD, RWD, AWD).

So, Sevenstock. Anyone going? Especially you STL guys... or are you just planning on NOPI? I am definitely planning on driving out to Sevenstock this fall... I'd like to get a midwest caravan lined up... Tried posting in the midwest section, but not much of a response.
