I am going, was planning to run my fc in 11.50 index until it caught on fire, but still running my brothers car in 11.50 and a couple of friends have Hondas in true street. Hoping to put some faces to forum names! I'll be there Thursday night through Sunday, judge Ito is supposedly coming as well. If anyone wants to meet up either find a white 240sx s14 with a yellow and a green honda hatch and ask for Renzo or text 703foursevenseven7429 and swing by to have a beer or soda.

This is horrible, their more worried about the index classes than the events real race classes, there's index cars here who have made 3 passes and got here later than us, as of the rain out tonight at 6pm, have made 0 passes, been here since 10 am yesterday

Was nice to meet you also, we got a 9.7 pass slipping and some issues, then. Broke a axle on the next pass. Perfect storm with bad weather, lots of breaking and cleanup, and 2 many cars for a 3day event...
Overall the Mir team kicked ***, but will be interesting to see the changes for next years event

They already said catch pans and diapers on imports AND domestics. They had too many index classes, no need for 10.0/10.5 as that's too close together.
Also tech inspection needs to be more strict, I hate to say this but if it looks like a shitbox it most likely is one and it's not going to make it down the track without leaving sonething behind. There were some cars that I wouldn't have let go down my driveway, much less the track.

^ Agreed.
We spoke with Jason Miller briefly and there will be some changes next year. He wasn't specific and I'm sure things will be a work in progress over the next year but I wouldn't be surprised if the 11.50 and 12.50 classes don't even make the event next year.
All-in-all, it was a great event to see. We don't have anything even somewhat remotely close to this type of things for imports in our area and it was great to see it all come together. The oil downs and weather weren't MIR's fault and the track crew busted their butts all weekend to keep things rolling. Seeing New Gen crush the record in person was great.
Special thanks to Haltech for their hospitality.
