The Switch Racing rx7 has already been able to establish constant times of 8.1 second quarters, and has much to improve on.

It's a 13b turbo (built fully by Cuco Switch) running with a Liberty 5 speed transmission on 10.5W Mickey Thompsons in the rear. For those who don't know Cuco Switch, he owned a 1st gen 3/4 chassis rx7 that was totalled back in 2006 during its first quarter mile pass at BOTI, and went on to be the crew chief for his brothers rx7 called "Chamo Race," which currently holds the record as the fastest 1/2 chassis drag rx7 in the world.

This car runs in the Hot Rod division of the NSCRA at a full 2400lbs.

In the few full quarter mile passes its ran:

8.42 @ 163.28 MPH
8.12 @ 166.85 MPH
8.17 @ 163.69 MPH
8.14 @ 164.83 MPH

There is still a lot to improve with the car, and hopefully with this year we will be able to beat our fastest e.t.

If you see the car, don't hesitate to stop by and take a look at it. The team is always willing to answer any questions about the car.

Thanks for the info. How is the rear suspension set up? Is it back-halved or is it actually using the stock pickup points? I'm just curious because I'm still debating which way to go with my own car.

The thread title says it's a stock chassis car, but those tires would be hard to fit in a stock chassis car I would think. I don't know.

I would like to know as well.

It is considered a stock-chassis. they don't make it a back-half. They just cut enough to fit the tires w/pockets and leave a "lil bullshit" piece of stock floor down the middle. I know. I know. Its bullshit, but they are considered "Stock Chassis" class. There has been much debate about the same thing in other websites. LOL....it is pretty funny
