not as much a driver error then the pressure to qualify sunday morning in just 1 single run. this car missed all the qualifying runs on saturday due to the englishtown drag mania event, where this car was running at. after that event they drove west to maple grove PA to go for the gusto on sunday morning and make the field. bump spot was 7.9 and the pressure was on. besides driver error, there was an urgency to make the field.. these folks came all the way from florida and I take it they were trying to make the best of it. really sucks, car was running 7.1@ e-town

it is a shame that the car was lost... but thankfully the driver was released from the hospital sunday evening and is ok.

I think the only rebuild thread you might see of that car is the building of a new car, this one is DONE..

is anybody else as bothered as me at the amount that the retaining wall moved from that hit? it almost looks as if a heavier car could go straight through it on a direct hit? Is maple grove a NHRA approved track? I thought the walls were supposed to be seamless concrete? not a line up of individual barriers??

I agree, but is it worth dying for or even killing someone else? Remember John Force's accident awhile back? Very similar cause to this one. If your going sideways to the center lane back the f out!
