no, i don't agree with that at all. if no one talks about drag racing as it is, what makes you think having a "forum" for it is going to make any difference?

clarification:

I'm not downing on drag racing in any way. I have alot of respect for people who do it, like anything else in life, properly (not idiots racing on the streets), I'm just saying it doesn't appear to be a major intrest to a majority of the "club" here. I don't know if that makes me sound like any less of a *****, but, I felt it was worth saying... the previous post was a bit harsh now that I look back at it.

i am predicting 125 trap speed and since Rich cut one of the worst 60 ft times that i have ever seen, i bet he is still in 12s. lol...sorry rich, but u cant cut 3.00 60ft time and get away with no harrassment.

Good God....a 3.0. you can launch in third gear and do better than that.

If there was a drag racing section i would go on it, if there was a auto x section i would go on that too. I'm pretty sure theres a lot of drag racers on this forum. Look at how many slips there are.

Yeah, that 3.0 was pretty bad. To add fuel to the fire, many yrs ago I cut a 17 second pass at like 114 . Over time I was able to get my 60 fts down to about 2.0 secs or so on street tires, which seems about average for FDs

Fix your car, you will go faster! ???? hhhmmmm why do people race there cars when there broke? in the long run you will brake it and then you cant race... why no just fix it, and then race it? thats why there is so many FD's in this forum that need serious help. you take care of your car and it's going to last alot longer. just my 2 cents

you need to re-read the thread and look at the date .

I have never raced my car when it's broken. My poor times ***5 years agp*** were due to driver inexperience.

Anyone that has seen my FD in person knows it is one of the cleanest and tastefully modded ones around, with no expense spared in the build up. Thanks for your 2 cents tho

Rich

No one has ever accused me of that . tomtim's post made me think of a poorly maintained, beaten-up junker FD crawling down the strip, and I don't think any of us like to see our FDs referred to that way .

So, when are we hittin' the drag strip Matt? I want you to videotape my 13.1 at 125 mph run
