How fast will you be running? So many things are different depending ET and MPH.

You're fine as long as you have a helmet.

If you break the 11.5 time, you'll need a 6-point roll bar, 5 point harness, and a firejacket.

My fpr is on the firewall never gave me a problem. If it's a turbo car you need a jacket. And as what zinx said you will be fine as long as you don't crack 11.50's.

Really? I've never heard of that at any of the nhra tracks i've been to. I've always heard a jacket for sub 11.5 or running any form of alcohol.

I went to etown for summer slam and they said all turbo cars must have a jacket, and sure enough I left my jacket at home and had to purchase one from the track. They said it was a new rule as of Feb this year.

okay thanks guys on those answers up there...Ima leave the FPR where its at...it wil save me money on AN fittings...

MY next questions is the drive shaft loop...How far in-between the rear end and the tranny does the loop have to be??? Dead center is fine??

brake lights have to be working??? Both sides or just one side needs to light up??

You ca do it

fisrt of all the race is going to be at california speedway Fontana not irwindale.as for your fuel pressure regulator it should not be on the fire wall.I think the rule book says 6 inches forward or to the rear of the flywheel.if you have slicks you must have drive shaft loops.the loops should be six inches from your ujoints front and rear.if you have any other questions send me a message and I will give you my phone number.

Teddy, if you're going to go slower than 11.50 then all you need is a helmet, factory seat belts and a driveshaft loop. Make sure you wear long pants- No shorts and not sandles/thongs! A t shirt or long sleeve shirt and jeans with tennis shoes will do. The tech inspection at the last IDRC event that I went to was pretty weak. They will ask you how fast you are going and will inspect the car accroudingly. Tell them the truth- that you run 13.99's. Kidding, just tell them you run mid 12's or something and they will pass you easily. Just make sure your battery is secure and you have a driveshaft loop and good lug bolts. Make sure you have a coolant overflow bottle. Looks like you have everything covered so far. As far as the fuel pressure regulator on the firewall- you will probably get away with it but you're supposed to have it at least 6" from the firewall like I told you 10x already. You may get away with it at a couple of events but sooner or later a picky tech inspector will nail you so you might as well mount it correctly right now.

Ps. Here is the IDRC website. click on the rulebook and read.

This isn't a drift race- you don't need no f-ing E-brake! If you're going to run in the heads up class your going to need a fire extinguisher. You have a rotary- you should have one in your car at all times.
