The future of Lakeland dragstrip?

Seems like going by this story that the future of Lakeland's dragstrip is questionable again.
Would be sad to loose that venue that host some of the most exciting import events in Florida.

But no one knows who bought it yet so lets just wait and see... The first burnout in my new car was that track as well as the first pass so I am really bummed out too.

Now that i think about it, the lst pass i made in my RX7 was there too Kinda cool that my first pass and last pass was at the same track.

When i went down there for the event everyone was really nice to me as well as my crew. It was a really nice local crowd and i hope to return one day.

I hope the person who buys the property considers keeping it a track!!!!

Only time will tell.
I had many enjoyable times at that track. Met a lot of people and made a couple of friends.

The lakeland speed way is who he is selling it to. Their plans as far as everyone I know has heard is that it will be made into parking for the oval.

Correction. Apparently a development company purchased the oval and drag tracks... So Only time will tell. Rumors, of trucking docks and apartments.
