Finally did it!

Well today at the BOTI finals I ran an 11.98 @110.77mph. The track wasn't hooking very well as you can see in my vid so my 60ft wasn't that good, but I finally was able to capture an 11 second pass in my All motor 12abp with stock TII trans. Moving on to bigger and better things for next year so stay tuned.

Here's the vid.

Congrats! When you said Boti Finals, did you make it to the final round or was the event called Boti Finals.

Also what was the delay at the tree?

What class were you running in?

Nice man. You've worked pretty hard at what your doing and it's paying off. I'd say you left a tenth, or more, on the line in that run. Loved how it spun and THEN pulled the left front!

You're going p-port 13B, correct? Planning all NA or adding any nitrous?

Yeah, his car leaves pretty good. He was having problems with his transmission getting into 5th gear.

Thanks Anthony, we didn't have a chance to make any elimination rounds because of rain. It started to rain on the first round of eliminations and wouldn't let up, so they closed the event. The good thing is that the total purse will be split to the remaining qualifiers which was 4 in my class.

Also what was the delay at the tree?

That vid was my first round of qualification, so I wasn't trying to leave on the other guy. On top of that my motor was cold and when I gave it full throttle to come up on my launch rpm's the engine bogged a little until I cleared it up. My main goal was to just make a good clean pass to qualify. My second round I spun in first gear and got loose at half track and ran a 12.04 at the same speed 110.

Thanks, I'm very anxious for next year too.

Thanks, yeah I know the car will do 11.7-11.80. My best 1/8th was an 7.43. I was running pretty rich with passive timing on that run. I made some adjustments to the tune and was going to make my next pass and then it rained.

Yes and I will be sticking to just N/A for now.

Dont' worry a little hard work and determination and you're car will get there. Just keep at it.

Thanks Mel, I explained it earlier but I guess I can explain it again for the noobs.

That was a qualifying pass so there was no need to try and tree the guy next to me. I was just trying to take my time and get the best run as possible.

Nice time for the 12A!
Do you have specs on the car in the other lane, and what times has it done?

RX3 with 13bpport and 5 speed clutchless trans. I don't know his best time, but he has been having trouble with his transmission. Maybe he can chime in as he is a member here.
