Has anyone tried running ET streets without tubes or screws on a 1.5 or quicker car. We did this on one of our other drag cars but it was an auto. Thanks in advance.

Diff brace, solid trannie mount, delrin motor mounts, prothane diff bushings, t11 diff. and stock axles. and a slight slip of the clutch. I havent installed the drag kit yet. Oh and 7,000 rpm. could have been better but i hit rev limet at 8,500 in first. Stock struts!
my personal best is a 1.48, 7500-600 rpm, tociko/eibach prokit, solid bushings all around, toe links, trailing arms, diff brace, kazz 4.33's......ohh a nice burnout helps
Almost everyone I know does not run tubes, but everyone I know are auto v8 guys haha. If you are worried about spinning the rim in the tire, line the valve stem up with a mark on the tire, and after a launch, see if they are still lined up. Another thing Ive heard guys say is, "only rim screw cars get tire shake". Take that however you like.

A car at your level should hook a lot better than 1.5's in the 60ft. Rx-3's are known for 'hooking' in the Mazda world. Your car should be in the low 1.3 60ft.
My buddies factory RX-3 with factory suspension with a turbo motor and TII tranny was doing 1.35's at only 440 rwhp which resulted in 9.80's and that was on a 26X8.5 tire.
Follow the advice of 'Doc Holiday' above. The only true way to know if they are spinning or not.

I've never run with tubes. With stock twins and ET streets I was cutting 1.5's. A number of friends with the stock twins also were cutting 1.5s.

Thanks for the advise guys. I just ordered my chassis software and i am going to try and set it up so that the tires don't hit too hard at first and go from there. I will keep an eye on the valve stems and make sure the tires are not turning on the rims.
