Lee, give Enzo a call about the tranny. He has the answer for you without having to go with the G-Force!

I guess my question is what is the fastest a rx7 has gone with the factory diff/lsd/axles/driveshaft/and trans? And when we have gone as fast as we can with factory axles/lsd/ratio then we will upgrade rear bars/stubs... We have over 40 factory t2 gearboxes on hand. It will be fun.

Remember everyone starts their adventure by making HP. I am not by any means new to drag racing the second gen chassis. But I know that it will be interesting come March. The hp will definately help.

I guess the question is why would you try and do this with the stock axles and so forth esepecially since its proven it won't hold up but for a couple passes, if you actually trying to run a fast pass. Yes it would be easy to ease out of the hole, but what would that prove? You would never see the full potential of your car. Build it not to break, then go RUN your car like it should be. Good luck.

I know the factory axles could handle 1.5 60fts all day and I was doing 1.55s when I ran 10.0s @148. All I am saying is that there is alot more you can do with factory equipment. And with nearly 200whp more, I think we could definately set the pace for factory equipment.

Dont get me wrong I have axles/stubs/gearbox all ready.

is this car a "street car" ? what does it weigh w/ driver ? I think you are the "one"w/ a 10.0 @148 my best was 10.50's w/ all factory drive line
so you think that you can run faster than 9.50's w factory drive line?
I will give you much props for your effort, I jus think that you should go for a real number like a 8.90's w "upgraded" factory drive line to handle the power we now make. best of luck to ya

Yes it is a street car with a certified 8.50 cage. With driver it weighs 2780

I dont know what we could run but I know it will be faster than the previous numbers. We have a very fast track and the launching will be the same but every gear after will be staged. I fugure with a 1.5 60 fto vs a 1.55 and 200 more hp it will be well into the nines. And as soon as we go as fast as the factory driveline will handle. I will "upgrade"

nice !!!! yes the weight shows it to be "street car" , the problem ur goin to have is shiftin at high rpm, we need to go to 8500-9000 to keep it in the power band the t-2 tranny does not like it at all !!! you would be better off w/ a fd tranny
you got any pic's of this beast ?

My powerband is based on the limitations of the t2 gearbox. It will go faster with all factory equipment.

In this case, just secondary. And Redline for total engine safety or shift point?

What would be the benefit of doing both , it take a toll on idle though . its amazing how mutch you can get out of a small brigde and turbocharging and a awesom tune .

It all has to do with torque. And power delivery.
