This 1970 Toyota have 13B Street Ports Turbo, Methanol, AUTOMATIC TRANNY, WITH 10.5 TIRES.......

This car run 10.33 et when it was nitrous........Now you see when its Turbo 5.63 et.....

Maybe this saturday where going to the speedway and I'm goin to take a Videos...

 

congrats on getting a torque converter small enough to stall speed higher rpms.. should run in the 9.0 to 8.9 in the quarter..

 

i have a rx2 with a third gen.this is a full chassis drag car.turbonetics 72mm turbo.turbonetics race gate waste gate.turbonetics godzilla blow off valve.haltech E8 engine management all the good stuff.last week end i installed the trans i bought out of the mazda trix first gen rx7 three rotor.it is a ford C4 transmission that performance automatic built.it is there super comp with a trans brake.it has a neal chance bolt together torque converter and a reactor SFI flex plate.i would like to know more specs on this automatic drag car set up.stall speed, nos, low first gear, car weight, rear gear ratio any info would help.thank you

 

I believe the transmission is set up by North Carribean Transmission in P.R. There website is nctransmission.com. Your lucky, it a bilingual site so you shouldn't have any problems. They have some info on the car on their site. Hope this helps.

 

Those converter are made that way so you can change diffrent stalls according to you aplication , being that it was behind a 20b you might have to play with the stall . as far about the gears it all depends on the tire size , rpm/powerband of your engine . stock this tranny comes with 2:46 1st , 1:46 2 nd , 1:1 3rd

 

If You Have a 3 Rotor or 2 rotor with 600 hp up and Light weight drag car I recomend Powerglide......

In our case Red Toyota 1970 we used C4 Tranny but in a couple Months we starting to use Powerglide.......

Why??????Because, better 60 FT,less tires shake, Light Weight,only 2 speed more eficiency,very Strong tranny....
