Congrats to tom94rx7 for setting a new record on stock twins!

10.87@128.90 mph. Congrats again, this is on one of my rebuilds with 2mm ALS seals and pretty standard street port.

Here is the link to his thread in the 3rd gen section, car should have a little more in it judging by the 60ft times!

awesome launch , an crasy times on stock turbs , its only forwards or this unit , any plans on some bnr units or going medium sized single, cause i got a feeling your a to4z kinda man

Love your kind of weight reductions too, race smart for sure , no need for crazy power figures to get decent times

Thanks, no plans on changing the turbos at this time, I've been going fast on the stock turbos for about 4 years now, was tired of low 11's but now I get to play in the high 10s and see how low I can go Haha. And its fast as **** on the street, don't need to spend lots money to spin the tires more.

Doing more with less is much more satisfying but I'll echo those Garrett t04Z thoughts

It's time to drop the twins runs some 9s and stop being a cheap bastard

Awesome job

Congrats Tom and DJSeven, great job guys. Tom, I'm really happy you stuck with it, I think you will own this record forever, I can't see anyone trying to go faster and having your determination.

Great job!

Anthony

Thanks! Ya I'm glad I stuck with it, even though it was frustrating at times and some set backs, it's worth it in the end I guess Haha. Just had to buy two new ET streets all because of a piece of wood and a big hole in the one tire.

Congrats Tom. That's flying on twins. The car must be amazing on the street with the instant spool of the twins. Congrats on the record

Just a big shot of nos, a clutch less tranny and you maybe close to 9's on stock twins!

Lol. I am pretty close to maximum power with the twins, maybe I should try a rotary works throttle body? Or a ported exhaust manifold.

How safe is no lift shifts, I could hold it full throttle while shifting, the Two step rev limiter activates when clutch is pushed in and I would stay at atleast 10 psi boost I think. I tried this on the street at lower rpms and it was fast but at 8k rpm it sounded a little dangerous haha.

I have a tranny built for no lift and hitting 2-3 at 8-9k quick, isn't so easy. I have hit 1-2-1 two times at the track. On the street it's pretty easy. Going o build a gate for it next. You can shave .1 per shift.

sk8world, what tires do you run up front with the stock spare wheels? I have some heavy motorcycle tires on there and looking to replace them soon with something lighter, but there isn't many options. thanks.

Yeah, They offered me that one when I called to order mine. I bet it would be fine and its 26 tall verse 26.5 tall and 50 bucks less! I just went with what CCW uses and had been tested. He told me they ran the Firestone ones over 170mph in the 1/4 on a vette so I felt it would be safe for a crappy 140+mph.

Ya they look good cause they are smaller and cheaper and probably lighter. Did they say on the phone that they would also be fine for drag racing? I found on here someone else bought them and was going to use them but no feedback after. Thanks.
