They didnt say because they are not a race store but more of a vintage shop or atleast I got that impression. Sounded like a guy that was working his 9-5 job but had no real clue what he was selling. I am beting you will be fine. I just didnt want to take the chance. I will say when they were delivered I was like what the hell are these tall *** things going to fit. They looked sooo tall and funnny. I think they look fine on the car now.

Ya I know what you mean. I called them and both this one and the firestone have the same speed rating so it should be good. Only problem is they only have one in stock. I tried ordering through summit but they come from coker.

Just ordered two of those 500/525-16 Excelsior Blackwall 26" bias ply tires at http://www.universaltire.com/excelsi...blackwall.html , they weigh 16 lbs he said, but another website says 18 lbs. they had them in stock and they will be here tomorrow. He strongly recommended tubes since it says they require tubes and he says they are designed to run tubes and not designed to seal without a tube, maybe that's true or he was trying to sell tubes also IDK, so I bought the tubes, I'll check to see if anyone else is running them without tubes, or someone let me know if you are using these, thanks.

Thanks. Ya I did some searching and found lots of people running the firestone's with no tubes, I'd like to make sure that's ok with the excelsiors too, I sent a couple people messages that have them.

I was going to try and put in one of those cheap universal driveshaft loops, cause the guy at the track said I should have one and don't want them giving me problems about it, but it doesn't look easy to do and it looks at least a little unneccesary with the ppf there and the exhaust with magnaflow muffler/midpipe sitting right under the driveshaft. So if they ask should I just say yes I do have a driveshaft loop, since they probably aint gonna actually check anyway. Last week was actually the first time they asked about a driveshaft loop, it was a different newer guy, he didn't ask about anything else about the car, and they never checked my car after my runs.

Thats what I would do. IF it ever breaks it will bang around in there for a bit before hitting the ground anyways. Tell them its got a factory loop..

I got those new tires on, pic attached and more new pics of my car at the link below:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/tom_truxell/

They weigh 18 lbs, 2 lbs heavier than my motorcycle tires that were on there, on the spare rims that weigh 12 lbs. and they look to barely fit, I can't really imagine putting anything bigger on there, the front of my car has lowering springs and rear has stock springs.
