my local chassis builder who is also one of our tech inspectors gave me a small tip, he said to stiffen that *** end up spastic spec to get consistency and good launches out of irs , it worked for me, but i had no power and light weight 470hp/2100lb there is so many factors when you involve irs, seems to me that its different things for different styles so far, im not one way or the other on the subject

that may be true blitzy but it doesnt make me follow its lead , i like to understand what can be done from all angles , also are you talking about the mazfix FD

Mazfix FD is not the fastest FD on IRS in the world as they dont have IRS lol,

James Willdays car is the fastest FD on IRS in world from the UK

I will say when you watch the video that car doesnt bounce around at all. Back stays planted the entire pass. My car looks like a dam frog going down the track..

the mazfix fd back in the day did have irs, it had a skyline diff in it , however it doesnt now

First pass 1.5 60 foot. Missing my other struts-springs. Going to lower tire pressure and get a better burn out

Second pass 1.5 and third 1.68. Never running these stiff springs- struts again! wasted night and $$ testing them. Car would not hook for crap! I believe iwould have had I new best if I would have stayed on my old set up.

Just a stiff coil over . 500lb spring.


I am going to keep an eye out for some hks drag coil overs.

sorry to hear it didnt work for you mate , like i mentioned earlier , its good for some but not for others , im looking to re valve my rear shocks to help stop it rebound so bad , gonna be hard with stiff springs to control rebound but ill give it a go

blitzy i stand corrected, i have it from the horses mouth that mazfix only did a 8.9 on irs with standard rear end , shocks and springs, archie said to not listen to some of his workshop mates next time haha ,
