20bpp capella maiden run (australia)

hey guys well last night my very long winded project made it to the track for the first time and all i can say is i cant be happier the thing launched straight and ran straight which is all i can ask for. It went 12.5 off the trailer and the last run went 12.3 at 110mph some things i did learn is that i need a shift light cause i kept short shifting 1-2 and i need diff gears cause i am just shifting 4 like 30 metres before the line, which is no good. Oh and i need a line lock kit i stalled it in the water twice it just has to much rear brake. but the good thing i think it is good for an mid 2 high 11 as it sits with a bit more practice, which isnt bad on MT et streets and pump fuel.

Sounds awesome! Go the 4 doors! Man, I was going to paint my car a very similar color. If you're using the stock rearend- toss it. I broke two axles already with mine with street tires. Congrats on the run. It's rare to see a project started and finished, yet alone taking it the track from these forums. I have watched your project for awhile, very nice job. Keep us posted on future runs. I forgot- what tranny are you using?

thanks mate the diff is a hilux with a 4.3 centre i originally build the car to drive on the street but a 9 inch with 5.1 or something around there are in order, and the gearbox is a supra 5speed good for about 500hp normally but when that goes liberty time.

Right on. I am putting a 9" in mine as we speak. Were did you get the adaptor plate to run the Supra box? And did you have any mods done to the internals in the Supra box? Man you did some nice fast shifting in that run. It almost sounds like your running a clutchless box. Running N/A you definitely can use some lower gear ratio's in the rearend.
