what is a presilencer

I was thinking the whole time that its a high flow cat. Can somebody tell me what it is for sure. Is there hp loss. I looked under a fd at the mp, and I thouht it was a high flow cat, but I looked through it and it was striat through. Is this a presilencer?? I know the sound so much beter than mine. Nobody know what kinda exhuast it is either not even the guy that own the car before. I have power extreme and it sound way better then mine, alot deeper.

A presilencer in the mid pipe is a muffler ,most are straight through flow . many use the Borla xr1 race muffler. T he tone and drone will be lower .Tripoint Eng said there could be a small H P loss of 6 hp , that was their guess, only a guess.

Basically it's a straight through core muffler. Cherry Bomb style. Some pre-silencers don't even use packing... just a tube with perferations and a canister around it.
