I was at the battle of the imports in joliet ill. What a pass. I am glad to say I was there when the first 6 second pass by an import was achieved. Not only did I see it but I got it on video. It will be in the DVD i am producing. ESPN 2 was there to capture the moment as well. They told me it would air sept. 30th. That venom truck is insane. I believe they made it to the 6 second range before the V8 car did.

Yeah the Supra engine was in it when it made the 6 second pass. The car cracked the cylinder wall on the pass though and they were in the process of rebuilding it when the event was starting to finish up. I dunno if they were ever able to back it up because I left before they got it up and running again. On a side note the L'natural all motor integra ran a 10.3 for a new all motor record.

They Race in the NHRA/Import series

The NHRA has outlaw'd V8s so I doubt a V8 will be going into the Truck

At least the RedNeck Brothers and there US designed V8 mountain motor did the get the 6 sec record!

 

Well I just found out that the Tundra (Supra) couldnt get the engine put back together in time so they couldnt back the pass up so the Scranton brothers have a chance at the "official" record if they can make a pass and then back it up before the Venom team.

 

1) Get Laid and Calm the **** Down
2) This is Battle of the Imports Not NHRA so kilo still has the record
3) We all know that Kilo is running things and will next year too

Delta:Even if they backed up the time, they still did it and im happy, to me it dont matter if thye never run a 6 again. They did it before there is proof and they are the first import into the 6 seconds thats thats

 

I agree, but I would just hate for them to have an asterisk by their name if the scranton boys pull it off.
