Hey CJ, can't you ask Bill who the car was sold to? It would be nice to find out the whereabouts of this car. Are we gonna get to see this thing tear down the strip again, or is it just gonna sit in someones shop and collect dust?

>>>>>this was when vinny was having LOTS of motor problems and blowing motors left and right<<<<<<

Hehe...tell me about it.....his motors get done at a local machine shop near me and I had a few chances to see his pistons !!!!! one or two completely melted a few other discolored....and the guy at the machine use to say " and this are JE pistons !!!!" then was lubrication problems !!!

there was alot of static between him and Paisley since Paisley ran a stock motor for awhile.....part of racing , I guess.

Remember the blue/green Supra with the silver flames from Vinny's shop ??? It hit the Turbo magazine with high 9 sec slips and yet its best run was a 10.5 ???? I guess the fast time slips get shared around.

It's like the Rampage Miata which also claim 10 sec pass in Turbo mag and yet his best run was high 11's....his dyno slip which Chris laughed at was also from another car which I saw on the dyno computer.

Makes you wonder !!!!!!

Dumb Rules

Since we are all venting I really got to get this rules **** off my chest. Why is it that the NHRA doesn't allow rear wheel drives in there premier Hot Rod Class. If you are rear wheel drive it is either street or outaw(back-halfed) no in between and no oppurtunity for a rear wheel drive to compete in the most popular class. I'm not saying IDRC is the best but at least you can run a rear wheel drive in the quick class (IDRC equivalent to nhra hot rod). As far as this racism thing is concerned you guys are dead on with the lack of coverage for the the true founding fathers of the sport. If I ever get a TV interview I will be sure to thank them.

Forgot to mention even though I live in baltimore now, I went to high school in flushing (Aviation High School) and lived in astoria.I always wondered if fountain ave was still going strong. I will be up in NY Friday for a Knick game. Maybe I'll drive by for old time sake.

John, i know the owner and builders of that miata; fake dyno #'s and timeslips aside, the thing that really pissed me off about that article was the fact that a few of my friends who were instremental in the building of that car were not mentioned. they said rampage fabricated custom motor mounts... BS! the guy that instaled that motor is a friend of the NY rotary community, and the guys at rampage sh*tted on him!!

I think you are missing the point a little here. You are correct in saying that it is about politics and big sponsor money but the point is that the bid sponsor money is not going to the people that it should go to because of there race.

Didn't miss the point at all....It is an issue but don't blame it all on race!
Many mistake me for P.Rican ...should I get mad ??? So I do feel some of that pain too.

Sponsor money needs to be earned. Unfortunately, it's not always the case.
Todays Import racing is all about $$$$$$$. $$$$$$ makes decisions. $$$$ changes/bends the rules when needed. Compare it to 2-3 years ago......averyone that raced back then was important, now only the big names matter.

Ari has dominated the street class and pretty sure he will continue to do so...He gets alot of exposure...why ??? he spends alot time in the winners circle.
Abel has accomplished alot with 2 rotors.....he's begged for a nice deal for awhile now and finally payed off with K&N...happy for him.

On a final note...you're right, many will get nice deals on a silver platter which sometimes don't even deserve and others fight and struggle for a small piece of the pie.
