Question Turbo timer causes break light??

I just installed my Blitz dual turbo timer (not the DC) today. It works fine, gives pressure (in cmHg , is there a simple conversion to psi?) and it shuts the car off after the time, and also the parking break works (shuts off car if released while on timer).
BUT
while driving when I let out on the clutch the break light comes on. (push the clutch in and the light goes off...)
Any thoughts as to why it does that?
(the light does stay on when I have the parking break engaged)
Thanks

check your fluid..and double check the wiring tapping into the E-brake

as for teh conversion, 1kg/cm^2 = about 14.2 PSI

Figured it out

Ok, White wire = shift lock. It is only used in an automatic car, because it is used when an automatic is put in park. (because parking break may not be on). I have a manual so the white wire is not needed.

I installed mine, and I had no trouble. Did you get the harness to plug it in, or go alone and try to "hard wire" it.

Harness

I purchased the harness because I didn't want to try to do it my self. There was a white wire hanging off the harness, I believe it is the shift lock wire. And there was a white wire off of the turbo timer, so I assuemd they went together. They were both the same color (white/red)
Any thoughts?,
Dave

When I touch the brakes, my dash lights and parking lights come on, I wonder if I have the same problem. I have the Greddy timer though.

If you unhook those wires you shouldn't have any problems. That is what is causing your brake light to come on...I don't see it being anything else.

Fixed

I disconnected the shiftlock wire and now the emergency break light only comes on when it is supposed to.
I think if you have a Manual trans. you only need the ignition, and emergency break. You can do the speed wire if you can get to it. But I would guess your dash lights might come on if you spliced into the wrong ECU wire. But that is just a guess if you don't have the shift lock hooked up.
Just an idea.
