Rotor Housing Dimensions

does anyone know where I can get a picture like this, but w/ dimensions (or an autocad drawing of the housing would be more than welcome)...

From Rotary Engine by Kenichi Yamamoto:

"The parallel trochoid curve is expressed by

x = e cos alpha + R cos alpha / 3 + a cos (alpha / 3 + delta)
y = e sin alpha + R sin alpha / 3 + a sin (alpha / 3 + delta)

where for a 13B,

e(mm) = 15.0
R(mm) = 102
a(mm) = 3
delta_max(degrees) = 26.2"

Because of the complex shape of the rotor housing, it's impossible to give you simple dimensions. Call your AutoCAD guru and tell him you've got a set of parametric equations that you need to feed in, and he should be able to help ya.

Okay, here's a quickie I whipped up in MATLAB. It's using the dimensions for the 13B REW (R of 104mm) and all the dimensions are in mm. No ports on it though, sorry.

FWIW, all 13B engines have the properties I specified.

"...In the three engines, these are E = 15 mm (0.6 in.) and R = 104 mm (4.1 in.)..."

Interesting.

According to the Yamamoto book, the generating radius is 102mm. But, according to SAE 920309 (the 4-rotor paper) and 950454 (the RENESIS paper), R = 105mm. I'll need to look up the apex seal height specs for the respective motors... since E is the same, I suspect that's from where the difference comes.
