Romeo Allen runs a 9.666 @ 140 mph at Etown
Romeo allen from TriState Autosports ran a 9.666 @ 140mph on ET street tires at Etown on Sunday. He did this on his first pass of the day. What is remarkable about it is this 1st gen street Rx7 has a stock tranny and stock seals and uses No Nitrous. His engine has been together all year and has made numerous 9 second passes.
Congratulations Romeo!!!! Nuff recpect!!!!

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Very nice romeo...
I also seen you at atco during the pan-americans and you were running high 9,s.
I am very impressed that you engine stays together that long..
Maybe you can get matched up with mayonesa from PR for next years PAN-American nationals..That car is setup up similar to yours, no-tubs, full body steel..
Keep up the good work.
Quick opinion:
I am gussing that you are running a 1.4-1.5 60foot times with say 6.6-6.8 in the eight..with lots of top end..If you improved that a bit to say 1.3 60foot and say 6.5 eight or better while keeping your top end gearing you could see 9.4 or maybe 9.3 1/4 mile times...very possaible...
My opinion is formed from what i see mayones in pr doing..excelent launch decent 8th and ok top mile..@ 8.8 150+ mph.

Racing for anyone cost money, but the 13B REW engine is staying together makes it easier. The car has some more in it with this setup. During that first run, oil was coming from the car due to too much oil in the engine compromising the run. He took it easy for the next few bracket elimination rounds and was planning to run a better time that night when the gearbox went south.
PS. Romeo seemed to have sorted out how to keep the boost up. During the pass year, even when he first ran 9s the boost will be up during the quick gears and drop off in 3rd and 4th gear. Link from last year: http://home.att.net/~moespeed2/

Romeo is not on the forum, I will make sure he reads this. That Guy Mayonesa sure looks incredible.
Please tell me he is not running a 13b REW with C16, full glass, No nitrous on a stock tranny?

Well it is all steel, glass, real heavy cage since he is in the 8's, no juice etc..only difference is the jerico, and the 88turbo II engine..would be nice though..
