Question on the 1/4

I was wondering when your time actually stars when the grenn light shows ;does it start when you actually start moving or when it show green??
And I also plan on going to the track sometime soon, the first time I ever went I was getting massive wheen hop. I have a diff. brace bar.....
The toickios was set at 4
I think I had to much air in the tire. And reved it to 3k and dumped the clutch.
Any tip's?

Reaction time is the difference between the light going green and when your tire goes beyond the prestage sensor. Your ET starts when your tire goes beyond the prestage sensor. If memory serves, your ET is a total of the two.

To get the best RTs, you really have to start moving before the green. Too quick and you red light. Too slow and your ET suffers. A holeshot is a RT of 0 which is you passing the prestage sensor at the exact moment as the green lighting (will show as .400 on a pro tree or .500 on a standard tree)

As far as launching...can't help you there as I have to find the perfect spot for my setup too.

i dont think the RT has anything to do with the ET... as far as i know, you could sit at the light for 10 seconds after its green, then go and run a 10 sec 1/4.. could be wrong but I dont think so.

RT is for when you are heads up against an opponent. For self satisfaction, like lets say on Test and Tune night, it's not a huge issue. Like CYM said you could sit idle, however once you trip the lights through initial movement, then the clock starts.

As for wheel hop, play with settings, and possible rolling the clutch vs just a straight dump.
