If someone can get me their dimensions, I can probably source them (I don't have just a bearing handy; I'd have to go press one out of a rotor and I don't care that much )

guru make roller bearings for the center plate, id imagine theyd have them for the outer plates too. Just curious, what benifits do roller bearing have over the stock hydrolic bearings? http://gurumotorsports.com/

Same benefits that a bb turbo has over a normal sleeve bearing turbo , lower moment of inertia=faster (RPM ) response and higher "spin " capability.

wouldnt a roller bearing be kinda fragile as main bearings? and wear out fast due to e-shaft flex and such? I'm very intrested, i thought hydrolics were the only option we had, do you know how they work? does the shaft still ride a hydrolic film? or is it secondary to the shaft riding the rollers?

I have some "inside info" on the bearings. The idea is great, but the scoot needle bearings need to be larger. They don't last very long, and would'nt be good for a street car. However, if you could get a larger design in there, it would do to bearings what ceramic seals has done to race engines. My .02 and a couple other extremely well know engine builders/rotary shops. CJ

the bugattis of the 20' and 30's had roller bearing crankshafts, and apparently they dont like accelerating and decelerating, the ***** will slide on the race, which is bad. i dunno if they have improved things like that since then, but its been done before and they had problems

Well, if you used caged needle bearings, you can increase oil flow through the bearing and elminate those problems. Finding a bearing that won't wear out is the problem. I've got a paper on bearing loads somewhere - if someone can get me stock bearing dimensions, I can probably find a bearing that will take the stresses.

Again, does anyone have the dimensions of a stock bearing?
