how about this...

http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm

2800lbs 129mph trap

469 RWHP and 554 FWHP which is almost what you pulled on the dyno

and if you do the HP from ET calc on the same page

2800.lbs and 10.7 time

452 RWHP and the magic 533 FWHP

http://www.rx7.com/accel_calculator.html

http://www.richmondgear.com/112901.html <----------- this one also says I'll run a 10.30 with 455 whp.

Anyone familiar with drag racing knows it isn't likely.

you sand bagger! at least that's what everybody tells me when i raced against them. I'm always slightly faster than them but not by much and my mph goes anywhere from 117-140mph back in the days.

How are you yanking the wheels like you do? You running a 2step or just retarding the hell out of your timing?

nah, its actually pretty slow by today's standards. My goal is 5.9s in the 1/8. that should put me in 9.2ish in the 1/4. once i take another 300lbs off my car, that's good for another .4-.5 sec.

Wait until we can turn the boost up to 28-29psi. you'll definately notice a big difference. If you want, next time I come around, we can remap everything so that you can shift at 9krpm instead 8krpm.

dang... That's a whole different reality

Very good run! A couple more of those and I'll have to start to eat my words. Lupe as far as the hurricane my house had only minor damage and no flooding. Currently we are in Baton Rouge...my wife just go evacuated from the hospital she works at after 7 days there. New Orleans is like a war zone.

Only two step at 9 to 9500rpm making around 20 to 25psi boost at launch.
Most peolpe that I know of running in the high 7's to low 8's launch at 11,000rpm rotary powered that is. I've seen some launch with full boost which was around 40psi.

Well done Lupe, that's a good time.
Driver skill does play a big part too, a lot of people think drag racing is easy.
Your car may well do a 9 sec as as is with better pro dragger.
For example an rx7 over here in UK ran 9.8 @143 by a pro dragger it was his first time in the car and his first go down the strip. The owner of the car did multiple runs in the same car and his quickest time was 10.7 @134.
People go on about horsepower calculators they don't mean jack because they do not take into account the driver.

Well, I ordered a 2 step with dial that varies from 6700-8200 rpm's. Hope I can get some boost with that. I have the HKS t51r kai which is a 71-72 mm turbo. I should be able to get decent boost with that with the two step, right?

11,000 rpm? Mother ****!

What ***** gave me neg rep points for this post? He was told in tech he was good for 11.50. This is like someone whining about getting pulled over for 75MPH in a 60MPH zone. He deserved it! And you can suck on a **** popsicle!

Don't feel bad, I've gotten neg rep points from this thread too

I wouldn't have cared if they would have simply said " Don't race until you're legal " but they didn't. They had to cop an attitude, a very serious attitude at that.
