I have desided a nice street port to start off with. if I feel the need later for bigger can always pull it and port it.

2mil seals vs 3 mil seals.
I plan on boosting 16 -18 psi at max boost

also what about a K27 there is one the parts trader for like 1200.

1.12 A/R exhaust
0.72 A/R intake
60mm trim
Same as used by Ray Lockheed @ SR Motorsports

See www.zaprealty.com/forsale/forsale.htm for more pix.

Brand new. $1200 firm

it would probably be good to go custom, have it how you want it, done by someone good for your car.
just find a good welder and someone who knows how to shape and weld the exhaust mani, and where to properly attach the wastegate

As far as I know you can only buy the flange off the shelf. I had to get all of mine custom made.

Hehehe, he is where I was 3 years ago, although there is a lot more info and parts available now (RB 20B flanges, K2RD engine mounts & 20B FC anti-roll bar, someone with internet pics & hints besides Chito, etc.). Hopefully he won't go to Egypt for 2 years while his poor buddy gets stuck turning wrenches on the car.

where can you get a 4" exhaust? nobody around here can do it.
the manifold will have to be custom, the only part i found for the 20b ->fc swap is the motor mount kit from www.k2rd.com you get to make everything else yourself.

my car is mostly going to be a road going viper killer. I was thinking of a squiunal trans but the ones I have seen have 5 levers 1 for each gear.
where do I find the ones push forward shift down
pull back shift up?

also if I keep the t2 trans and use the 20b would I be able to compete aginst Ari in the street car?

or is putting the 20B in take me out of that class.
how do I find out

I dont plan on drag racing alot but with that kinda power you can have a good all around car.

im planning 650HP
3000 pound car with my fat *** in it
should be a low 10's car.

If I can get the tranny to hold together to make 2 runns

The ones you've seen (with individual levers) are called Lenco trannies. They have separate levers because they are modular - each gear has its own case, and they get stacked behind each other. They are NOT efficient, although because of the way they work (similar to an automatic trans) you can shift clutchless, smoothly and slowly, instead of having to bang each gear. They suck a lot of power and require frequent rebuilding. Lencos used to be THE transmission to use in Pro Stock, until the Liberty came out... but the reverser section is STILL used by Top Fuelers, so you know how strong they are!

Quaife makes sequential transmissions like you describe... they start at $15,000US and typically run about twice that. It'd be cheaper to buy Millen's RX-7!

The Long shifter is push pull design (no levers) check the site I gave you www.gforcetransmissions.com , by the way ari is not in the street class anymore I will have to worry about him next year.

You may want to measure your turbo first. Unless you have a huge turbo, that 4" pipe will be too big. I have a 3" pipe on my T66, which I think has the same outlet as all the other Turbonetics T-series turbos.

Also, I recommend that you guys get your 20B running with the stock turbos before you worry about the single setup. I made this mistake, and this is why it is taking me so long to complete my project. Sure, the single turbo setup is better, but takes a whole lot more $ and work.

Right now the goal is to have the car running around 1st part of April.
I have the motor and its being should be undergoing streetport some time next week.

I will be getting the motor mounts from Ted or Pual who ever is still selling then. should be ordering them next week.

Im going to stick with stock T2 tranny until I break it. then I think Im going to get a 6 speed from a supra.

I want to get a OS Giken twin plate for the car but Not sure on what one to tell them I want.

Ok, so after the first time you race it you are gonna use the Supra trans? You should look for a used HKS tranny

The HKS tranny can take around 800 real HP, They claim 1050hp but I dont think so. Its a H pattern 5 or 6 speed. Its a Great Trans. ALF uses that trans. With the Push Pull Shifters you cant downshift so If you are looking to drive your car on the street then yo uare gonna need a H pattern. Which the Gforce can come in too

That tranny actually sux also. One good launch and KABOOOM!!! That is designed for more the road racing car. It even says that its for cars with 250 hp and below. With a 600-700 hp car you are gonna need a trans that will support at least 800 hp. Soul assassin might be able to find you one of the HKS units. If you cant swing the $8500 price tag then do what Exit13b did and get the tranny that cripseed uses dougnash richmond 4 + 1 proshift and use a h pattern shifter. I think Exit13B found one for $1400. Try looking on Ebay for it. You are still gonna need to get the adapter plate from Mike Long and you are gonna need to get the imput shaft extended 4".

Thats a good trans but I am not sure if they make a adapterplate that will fit that trans to the 13B Bell housing

ok the plan is I going to have the car running by April so Im going to stick with stock T2 tranny so I can take the time and do the motor right.
and not make it a such a massive project. one of those ones that you dont want to work on cuase it looks like you will never finish it.

once the motor is in and running I take it to a shop and put in a tranny that can handle the power.

so during im looking for a tranny the HKS one would be nice
I will pay a finder fee if you can find a good one at a good price.

cant wait my motor should show up anyday now then it will be sent off for a street port and new apex seals. im going to use the 2mm seal as Im going to be only boosting to 18 - 20 psi
