RP was building his engines
thats why he wheres a rx7.com sticker (or at least he use to before the K&N paint job)

The problem is timming
+boost+hot spark=very high internal engine tempatures
which when the seals pass by the exhaust port
weakens them
and break

One trick I would do
is install 2 oil injector nozzles(with its own little
oil tank-no using hot oil from the engine)
on the face of the rotor housings
above the exhaust ports
to cool/lubricate the seals as they pass by the exhaust port

Abel and Siguel have the power 1200+rwhp
its clutch and suspension tunning they need to get down

The other teams have professional (paid) clutch and suspension tuners
all this take big money

And what do you call K&N Sponsoring you? That's not big $? 1200+RWHP? You better get in line with that, those other piston motors are making 1500+RWHP, and NOT breaking! Matt Scranton isn't even using Alchohol yet, WTF are YOU talking about, YOU better get your facts straight, all I'm saying is that there's all this hype behind the 3 rotor, and bottom line at this point in time it's a dissapointment. I'm not blaming Abel for any of this at all, yes it is due in part from Mazda not helping him out with an engine program etc. But if that's the case how do you explain Manny Cruz? I know his crew chief very well, and believe me, they DO NOT have a major sponsor, and they're running about the same times that Abel is running, WITH consistancy, so don't give me that cry baby story about the funding thing. The 2 rotor motor has gone well beyond what was expected of it, and for that I love it, all I'm saying is that the 3 rotor FOR NOW is a dissapointment, no matter what seems to be the problem, OR who's to blame for it.

manny cruz
please I have seen manny's car many times
he only once! ran a 7.0 and so has abel run 7.0

manny times are not cosistant at all!

as for blowing up motors?
scranton has
bullish had
manny cruz has

they all have

There is no hype about the 3-rotors
only in your mind there dude

running 7.1's is nothing to sneeze at(the 3-rotors)
just takes time before they get things sorted out
R&D

There is only 2 teams in the 6's
Bullish and scranton
so it's not like there falling way behind everyone else

I agree that the pistons are breaking too. After all that is how Abel has won both times this year.
There are only a handful of of people working with the rotors in comparison which has been thoroughly point out already, but we are still really close to the piston guys in the Pro class. But the only person making the races is not the fastest rotary guys out there.
That may be the same with the pistons but I don't know.

If Siguel could get some big sponsorships and setup to where it was not quite so hard on the pocketbook just for them to get here from Puerto Rico I think that the piston boys would really have their hands full with them.
One look at the K&N trailer tells you that it is not $ holding Abel back.

rotary performance never did his motors. jeff at rotary power in gardena, ca used to do it when he first started out, but racing beat has been doing the past few years. abel's only won once this year, and didn't win at all last year. venom has also run in the sixes. don't get it twisted, abel is getting a lot of money from both k&n and mazda, you are off your rocker if you think street glow pays bullish more than k&n is paying abel. abel gets more sponsorship money than most if not all the pro class competitors. don't make it out to be all these piston guys are getting all this money and abel is living off of scraps and crumbs. what i'm saying is they're all in the same boat here, abel's got every luxury afforded to him that the piston guys have including money and technology.

How much time is it gonna take? I mean c'mon, how much more R&D time is needed?, Yes the piston guys do break motors here and there, but you can't tell me that Bullish, and Scranton Bros. cars aren't consistant. And by the way there are 4 cars in the 6's with pro cars, Scranton, Bullish(2), and Venom. Have you seen the NHRA Pro Rwd points lately? It's not looking too hot. I understand what you're saying, I'm just being a realist, like I said the 3 rotor thing isn't working AT THIS MOMENT, let's see if it ever will.
