Are you saying they are good or bad?

IE: "****, these autometer gauges are the total *****!"
or: "Dude, these autometer gauges are the hottest *****!"

Of what I know of you, you seem unlikely to to tolerate inaccuracy, so I assume you meant they are good.

ive installed many electrical autometers in countless sand rails and only had one sender unit go bad. They seem to do their job just fine.

the biggest mistake i ever made was buying a liquid filled gauge, i can see how they can be good but you always had to equalize the pressure with the slightest change in ambient temperature.

Never had any problems not user induced.

I always use Pro-Comp.. and if I have to Ultra Light. I stayed away from the gimmiky ones.

Only failure was a teaching a guy/letting him help me pull the motor from my RX-3 and having him somehow break off the copper bulb thing on the water temp.

On the EP car I have decided to basically skip them completely and just get:

Yep its kinda pricey.. but the datalogging I have been using on a F500 team that runs AIM. Well.. the manufacturers are who I work with, and they have it in all thier cars.
Works real well.. and has a TON of data.

I WAS gonna go Stack.. but decided on these from my personal experience with them.. /shrug

I've been looking at those Nexus gauges since I picked up the little AutoMeter catalog at AutoRama (um, March?). I think they are absolutely beautiful. Finally, AutoMeter has stepped into the technology that we have been seeing on high-end OEM gauges for years. I'm setting up my FC with these gauges (boost, water temp, oil pressure, oil temp, fuel pressure, EGT). The bus based system is great, and while I doubt I will be using the datalogging or colour changing features, it's nice to know they are there. Also, the full faced warning function is fairly cool.

The downside? Total cost is about $1800.

I've been loking at them also, mainly because I am starting to feel the need for a "warning type gauge", but man they are expensive, same foes for the brain box
