Ernie & Boostn7 both had stock motors for these time as did Kevin Wyum. Wyum had full non-sequential & upgraded twins of some sort.

Vosko is right: Boostn7 is the man in street & now with 400 HP he will probably go to the top of the list. I think Wyum's mark has been there since 1995 or something.

Ernie had a port job in his mod list well before he ran 11's or even before he ran low 12's.

Ernie had so many motors its hard to keep track but somewhere on this forum he stated that his 11.7 was done on a "stock motor". I assume that means non-ported, no?

I suppose we could just ask him. In any event, Boostn7 is the clear winner for stock motor-stock turbos.

OK guys my first time back to the strip ,1/8 mile(sucks), in a year and a half got new mods and ET streets my previous best was 8.5 this time was:

reac. .243
60ft 1.745
330ft 5.038
1/8mi 7.789
mph 89.63

I launched at 6800rpm good burnout too (fun)

1st gear boost .9-.75 kg/cm2 (12.8-10.6 psi) ?????
2nd gear boost .8-.85 kg/cm2 (11.3-12psi) better control
3rd gear boost .75-.82kg/cm2 (10.6-11.7psi) to low

datalogit is awesome

this was my third run and i was turning the boost up every run it was very damp and misty probly 100% humidity but air temp was about 60F and i would of liked to run at least 14-15lbs of boost but my mail in maps(SR) are very conservative timing and rich fuel need tuning on dyno W/wideband

I think i can get a 7.5 from my setup:

airnx intake
stock turbos w/turbine trimmed and wastegate enlarged
permanent non-seq
greddy front mount & elbow type=s blowoff
2nd butterflies out and gasket matched UIM & LIM
1300 secondaries 550prim
streetported motor
hks downpipe, straight through midpipe, N1 dual catback
fuelpump avcr power fc koyo delete ast kaaz diff 4.33 short shift cusco catch can

i mostly autoX just drag to see how fast my car is
autoX mods:
apexi t-max struts ground control coilovers
all bushings in rear pettit launch kit
M2 trailing arms, toe links
swaybars tri-point in front and suspension in rear??
racing beat swaybar reinforcement, front strut bar cusco
kumHO victoracers 245/45-16

looks feed type2 replica
mazdaspeed replica hood

one last ? what do you think my 1/4 mile time would be?
by the looks of it problly 12 huh

oh yeah what kind of boost are you guys running the stock motor/turbo's to get so fast(boostn7) and shift points im shiftin at 8000 i think ive got a few tenths w/more boost
thanks, Rodney

matty- i don't really remeber what i did to my car since the last time i saw you but it was mostly improving driving like vosko said

Sorry guys if I brought shame to the Fd. My 3rd run I lost to a Ford Lightning(1/4 et 14.26). Damn!!!!! I tried to launch at differant rpm's but could'nt stop all the wheel hop. Also all 4 of these runs were run in a span of 25 minuets. Not good for the stock intercooler. Anyways the next day I found out that I had some problems. I found out that my rear tires had 45psi. Thats way to much! Then the ghetto mod to my stock air box malfunctioned(ooops). This caused a partial blockage of air into the air box. While I was fixing the air box, I decided to extend the front scoop of the intercooler so it could pull more air while driving. All problems now fixed, I lowered the tire pressure to 14psi, went to my favorite issolated stretch of road and did some launches from 3k-4k rpms. WOW what a differance. The tires really hook up now. I cant wait till next weekend.

Cool

This is my best on Drag Radials, Stock injectors, stock block, Apex fmic, Apex intake, dp, mp, Apeix N1 duals, Cosmo Fuel pump, Apex PFC & Controller, Stock suspension @ 13 lbs of boost;

RT .662
60' 1.781
330' 5.016
660' 7.738 @ 92.120 mph
1000' 10.078
1320' 12.076 @ 113.972 mph

Best on Mickey Thompson Slicks was an 11.792 @ 115.867 mph @ 15lbs of boost w/ 1.5 60' also same set up as above just different tires and boost level. No more runs after due to lack of roll cage.

great times out there...

see ya,
