1.89 60 foot
7.94 1/8th
12.33 1/4

93vr r-1 with 91,210 miles on original motor!!

First time I ever raced on a 1/4 mile track. I was pretty happy but I was on MT ET Streets with NO burn out trying to solve my wheel hop problems. I have gone quicker in the 1/8th (1.80 60 foot, 7.80 1/8th). So with a good burn out and putting it all together I think high 11's are in the near future. As far as mods: HKS F-CON w/FCD (I know what you are thinking!!) , Profec B boost control, down pipe, mid pipe, cat back, Pettit IC, Pettit Intake, ACT clutch & light flywheel kit, cosmo fuel pump, short shifter, Mickey T's ET Drag's (DOT approved), lots of other non-power things-Eibach springs, Koni yellows, guages......

what is wrong with my car. i don't think the 6 ports are working because the hose keeps coming off the air pump.and i think i have a vacuum leak.

rx-7fc, I'm 95 % sure that you problem is you 5th and 6th ports not opening. I got a faster time (16.4 with an intake) in my 88 GTU wither wired open ports. My trap speed was like 85, so I'd say check your ports.

i would say the car can definitely run a faster 1/4 mile you have about 2 tenths or more you can make up in the 60' and with the mph your getting you should be hitting low 13's! launch the car about 5-6k rpm with doing a burnout and lower your tire pressure to about 14psi. the timeslip i'm attaching is from my worse than stock FD that had many problems but still ran 13's with 8psi of boost and 12psi in my tires with a good burnout!

All my races except for the first three have been w/o the passenger seat and spare. As for the 16.9 runs....one was cause I dumped too high and put my foot to the floor(DOH!) and the second was missing 3rd. I ALWAYS get my best runs against cars I KNOW I won't beat(except for my best run....just edged out a 92-95Civic Hatch). As for ISS#1 and Spring Nationals...it was warm those two days...is that why my times are higher(I'm blaming it on the weather either way )? ISS#2 I ran against a 300ZX(13.997@97.24) and a white FD(12.208@114.66)...which goes to prove I do better against cars I know I can't beat. As for the two redlights....nervous I guess. It was in the later rounds at both events. ISS#1 2nd round....S.N. Round-Robin. I need to work on my R/T..but how? Sorry for such a long post. If you can give me any pointers on how to do better...please do so. BTW, my only mod is in my sig.

This was at cecil county this weekend..at 13 psi. I tried running 3rd gear out to see if i could go through the traps in 3rd but it poped the limiter so i had to put it in 4th..and they said that was my first and last run bc i dont have a cage YET. It was a good base run for the car. I have run 117 before so i contribute that to the 3rd gear thing..but i am pleased bc i know the car will go much faster...next is the cage then a tank of c16 and 18 psi and we will se what she can do...i have a t78 street ported..all that good stuff
What tires to turn 1.73 60' time???

the new world record for a rotor is jose "siguel" torres in his 1993 mazda rx-7

http://www.urbanracer.com/features/nhratex/0350.jpg

this is a 20b engine. look for siguel to dip into the 7.0 this weekend in maple grove.
car runs turbo alcohol, no NOS.

look at your 60FT that explains it ALL!
my TII ran 13.7 with a 1.92 60FT on street tires.
the launch is the hardest thing it is crucial to getting a good time at the drag strip!
practice makes perfect

My best time at E-town 5/4/02

Temp was about 55-60 degrees

60' 1.943
330' 5.290
1/8 8.049
MPH 87.99
1000' 10.444
1/4 12.449
MPH 113.21

This was running on street tires with 18psi of pressure in them.

Mods are M2 intake, Pettit ECU, UR pulley kit, M2 large IC, ACT street/strip clutch with 8.5 lb flywheel, short shifter, J&S knocksensor, DP and GReddy SP. Still running main cat. Boost was about 14-15 lbs with 100 octane. No lights popped up on my J&S. Car weight with full interior and me in it was about 2930 lbs with about 1/4-1/8 tank of gas.

Dynoed at this setup with 331RWHP and 284 TQ. 39,000 miles, original engine and turbos.
