Lower your rear tire pressure to around 22-24 psi and raise the front air pressure up to around 35psi. I am going to race this weekend as well in Joplin, MO. Where are you going? Take your RPM's up to around 3800-4000rpm and dump the clutch while keeping the tires spinning a little but not wheel-hopping. You don't want to roast them through first but a little spin is what you want then you just need to shift at around 7200-7500rpm and keep the car heading straight. Good Luck.

Going straight is over rated.

Did you ever race that guys old muscle car? It had a 396 or 400 or something in it.
Once the lights go green, start trying to get it's *** into a drift and go sideways down the whole track. That'll scare the **** out of the man in the next lane and he may crash so you'll win.
"Going straight is over rated." Sounds like someone is out of the closet. Congrats.

What type of tree? Sportsman or Professional? Good R/T. That is also a descent 60' on street tires.
Smoke from where?
Jump? Was it bucking?
What was your boost hitting? You may have hit fuel cut. I can't imagine that on a stock car, but when I would overboost in my GSX my car would start bucking due to engine detonation because I was completely lean. I was hitting around 28psi due to a broke boost controller vacumn line.

What color smoke? Your turbo seals may be going out which will let oil leak into your exhaust. Do you have any shaft wobble in the turbos? I hope it is something minor but I am doubting it.

What he means is what did they have the tree set up to run. Basically did the 3 yellow lights go down one after the other or did they all light up at once.

The track he was at runs a .500 Sportsman tree. Its not a very impressive track by any means. The week before last, it was 90*F and my car was having major issues, and I only ran a 9.28 shifting early and coasting after 3rd. I did get a 2.2 60' on my hard *** 225/50's at 28 psi.
