Angry My brother just got NITROUS on his FC!!!

My brother, Derek, and I have had our FC's for about the same amount of time(give or take a few months) and he has always been ahead of me as far as mods go. Well I finally caught up and had basically everything he had, and five days later he buys a NOS kit from Holley! DAMMIT!!! Huh, oh well. Anyways, I'm trying to keep my car roughly the same as his so I'm thinking about getting a kit myself now, whereas before I didn't even consider nitrous. Now it seems like a pretty good idea, considering N/A is utterly POWERLESS.

I think hes running a 60hp shot and will be running a 75hp shot later, but he's 1200 miles away so feedback is slow considering he doesn't have a telephone.

my personal opinion is that if you have to give your car Shots to go faster you just need a real motor. nos is lame. your motor will last 60% less than it would if you left the damn thing alone. just get a 4 rotor or somthin

Do a TII swap. Personally, I don't like nitrous. Its just temporary power.

Nothing wrong w/ using nitrous. Its not always the best option.

Nitrous is a half *** solution to your power problem. Do the TII swap and you will have a nitrous bottle that will never go empty!

Umm, no. Nitrous will have almost zero effect on engine life if set up properly. The only extra wear on the engine will be that associated with the higher wear of the horsepower increase, and this would only occur while you are injecting; a fractional part of driving.

Nitrous oxide is simply a liquid form of forced induction. It is no more cheating than a turbo or supercharger, and requires just as much tuning to get it running right. Nitrous also suppresses detonation and cools the intake charge.

Lastly... for those who make the argument that it runs out... last time I checked, so did gasoline.
