Low-end rx7

Hey i am about to buy a 3rd generation RX-7. I was just wondering what would be the best hop-ups for this. I mean like new turbos? intercooler? intake? muffler? (I want the sound) I want to beat all those rich peeps wit the nice vetts and 5.0 mustangs.

I am looking for alot of low-end power to get this thing to "hop" off the start line. So any mods in that direction?

The only way your getting low end power is to drop the clutch at 4500rpms....

You don't need to upgrade the turbos to get alot power. Check out http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...od_pro_con.htm for a suggested plan.

You should already be beating most any Vette/Mustang, except for the z06.
New silicone vacuum hoses, intake, exhaust, fuel management, turbo, porting.

check out http://www.m2performance.com/ they have a lot of good stuff. personally i would do a stage II and then buy an IC later on, or you could just do it now. then your only problems will be getting it to the ground, so you'll need some wheels and tires, maybe some suspension work. after that you should be able to take out a lot.

Check out Pettit Racing. They have a base performance package which is a good way to get started:

After that, I would look into getting a Boost Gauge and replacing the ECU. Then you'll be well on your way.

I never thought id hear 5.0 owners called "rich". Isnt an FD a bit more than the $5000 asking price of most 5.0s? Just thought that was kinda funny.....
