Lotus Super 7 with a rotary..

Yesterday, I attended the local autocross. There were some nice cars. Z06, FC'S, AE86...but the one that I liked the most was the lotus SUPER 7 with a 13b carbed 4 port. It had an fd tranny and brake calipers and rotors.

Here's a pic so u can see what it looks like..

*This is not the same car I saw*

That is such a cool car. I likely would have gone with a different engine....but cool nonetheless!

Is it this one? The guy that owns it is the local owner of the autocross club in the Piedmont of NC,

Rotus

He has it to tuned to about ~170 at the wheel, just a N/A too.

I was at the Danville, VA autox a few years back and got a ride in one. I think he called it a Rotus. It was very very cool!

If it's the one I'm thinking of the liscense plate says "ROTUS" and is from MD. He lives/lived in my town and I used to see him around from time to time, but haven't seen it in a while. Great looking car with Chromallusion paint and LED taillights even.

i met the guy who builds the SRX-7, at carlisle auto show last year. They run a 13b-REW with a t04(not sure what model) turbo. Making around 400hp. They had it on the track, it was impressive! the rear was breakin loose so easy

One of these was entered in a Sport Compact Car Ultimate Street Car Challenge a few years ago.
Can't remember if it actually made it in and competed, but I do remember voting for it

Worth bearing in mind that a correctly built one will weigh between 1200 and 1300 lbs. Take useless bits like the screen off and you can get as low as 1100. So 200HP in one of these is like 400 in an FD. A friend in australia fitted a turbo and had to reduce the boost to 6PSI for road use, as he couldn't find road legal tyres that would grip in any of the first 4 gears.

That having been said, I'm bound to turbo mine eventually
