Idemitsu oil and premix

I haven't seen any direct comparisons between Idemitsu full synthetic and other motor oils myself. It has just become more available here in the US, and I'm sure more information will trickle in as engines become torn apart after using it. However, Mazda has worked extensively with Idemitsu in the development of these lubricants and I trust in their knowledge to know what is best for the rotaries. It is a synthetic oil, so oil changes would not have to be as frequent.

You can get it at RotorSports Racing. The number is 704-933-6222 and more information is at http://www.rotorsportsracing.com/per...g/idemitsu.htm. It's pretty much the same information on the Idemitsu site. But you can order it by the quart or by the case.

I'm about to start running it as my friend's shop (Japtrix) is now going to be carrying it.

if you're changing it during normal intervals (3k miles or whatever) I doubt it'll be more beneficial than a good synthetic or good mineral based
if people are using their oil for prolonged periods...prbly better but again, I doubt it would be much better than a good synthetic

Dunno about that one. If it is specially formulated to work with the MOP and not leave deposits behind, then it has a leg up on the competition.

As per Ari/Chris, Ken Scheepers used it on his 10 sec all motor peri port drag car with outstanding results.

I plan on ordering up a case of 10w30 for winter use.

Synthetic lowers engine temps a solid 10 deg F across the board, I have seen it firsthand. There's your difference
