Gotta love these kids nowadays.....where's that pic from my thread "Me and my homiez strate frontin'?"

Best of luck with the rebuild man, the first time can be a handful....

You might want to check out www.rotaryengineillustrated.com and go to the porting section. That will help you quite a bit--it will suck if you port into the corner seal or oil control ring path.

You don't really have to, Roar. The system only remains pressurized for an hour or so, quite honestly, so there's no need to worry about it if you're planning on parking the vehicle and then tearing into it soon thereafter.

Exactly what I was thinking, dubiosr!

I mean, jeez, if you can't figure out that the whole "depressurize the fuel system" line is a bunch of LAWYER MANDATED BS... I don't know of any paid mechanics who bother to "depressurize" the fuel system... just yank a fuel line off. If there's any system pressure, it's gone the moment the line is cracked open because fluid is not compressible! (Think about it) So you get a litte squirt. BFD. But the lawyers freak out over that, some dumbass might have his face 2 inches from the line and get an eyeful of gasoline, so they insist that the books say to "depressurize" the fuel system.

I'll spell it out real nice and simple... you depressurize the fuel line by disconnecting it. So you spill a little fuel, big deal, you're going to be making a much bigger mess.
