Do you require emission gear where you stay? How much money do you want to spend? How many miles does the engine have on?These are questions to start with
Start by changing the exhaust to Racing Beat. What state is you carb is?Does it need a overhaul?Check your timing, spark plugs.
The exhaust will give quit a few hp.Then consider a different carb.Weber IDA,Dellorto sidedraught.
If the engine requires a overhaul, then consider a port job.Is it a daily driver, then streetport.Otherwise,Bridge,Monster or Perripheral port.Go to www.Mazdatrix.com,and www.Racingbeat.com..there is lots of info there.

you said you want it to be turbocharged? do a 90 t2 conversion, i think it might be cheaper and better that way......if you were in the new york or tri state area then i could recommend you to a shop.

Your info says you live in Florida so I would recommend you talk to the guys over at Pettit Racing.

They are one of the best rotary shops anywhere.

lol i just posted this to some other guy in florida

Racing Beat is good too. They have several locations in Florida.

DRAW THROUGH SUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKSSSSS ASSSSS

you will have hard starting, slow throttle responce, and really poor idleing.

it will suck. stay away from that. Go with a blow through, where the turbo is BEFORE the carb.

talk to 680rwhp12a. He makes starter turbo kits for 1st gens, he can hook you up.
