I haven't noticed. I don't think they ever changed the can at the dealership I worked at for a while. The solvent must have been half carbon. You could take valves with carbon so hard and encrusted that a wire wheel wouldn't even faze it. One night in the dip bucket and they look like new.

My auto tech class teacher (Mr. carl) calls it digestive type carb cleaner. he loves the stuff. If he could I think he would wash his truck with it.

the way Safety kleen explained it to me was, the trick is in the pressurized hot water, extreme pressure. If I find a used dishwashing machine I would have to put a 12A bridgeport in there to turn that pressure pump @ 10,500rpm to get some nice pressure

So would the "dip" be good for rotor housings and everything to clean the coolant passages real good???

You guys put everything in there or just the rotors?

I find zero wear on any of the metal surfaces, even the bearing surfaces.

I clean mainly rotors, but I'll throw in the housing if needed (usually not).

As for coolant passages, tsk-tsk for not flushing the engine properly.
I usually end up doing my modified engine flush which gets rid of all that crap after the engine is running.

The chem dips don't seem to affect the coolant crud as much as it likes carbon.&nbsp Pressure wash?

Well,
I used MEK from Lowes. Need gloves. Ito ,it BLASTED all the carbon off is minutes.Even the kind that sits in motors at the junk yard. Now its highly flamable and you will get a head rush but you will get the work done in minutes rather than a day.Just the cost of the MEK.
Rotors look show room.So does the engine parts, truck rims, motorbike chrome......
OH yea..right dat dare omigo.
