Y ITBS cost so much?

I was wondering why the ITB kits for 2 rotor engines cost nearly as much as the kits made for 4 cyl engines? I know there are still parts like linkage and fuel rails and injectors.

Im still new to the rotary scene so forgive me if this is a stupid post.

I haven't check the price on these parts, but there are a good amount of companies that will make throttle bodies, especially with the flange of common performance carburators.

Would you be able to save a few bucks? I seen a few 13b kits that were cheap, but a lot were jsut as much as 4 cyl kits

they can be used on turbo apps with a plenum. Tweakit.net makes a plenum for their ITBs.

Supposedly the improvement in throttle responce is as great as with an NA engine because of the turbo acting as a restrictor until it spools, but you can do it.

What, you mean like from http://www.twminduction.com/pdf/twm_price_list.pdf ? It's sorta right at the top left of the page.

I'll save you some trouble. For stockish stuff, you want the 3000-4804, which is $451.28. The fuel rail kit for that is the 3000-5806, which is 177.50. Bolt that to one of a bunch of IDA manifolds, like http://www.racingbeat.com/resultset....rtNumber=16493 which are all around $250.

You could always try adapting V-Twin motorcycle TB's over to an ITB manifold. That was my first thought. Now I believe I'm going to adapt a LT-1 dual butterfly tb over to one of the manifolds.

OOOOooooOOooOOo NICE Jason!

I'm getting 23racer's 'Busa ITB's welded up right now for his half bridge. They look like they will work great.
I'd like to see your setup sometime, or at least some pics

Yeah, I somewhat borrowed from Eric's idea lol I'll post a bunch of crap in the CDN forum soon. If he/you needs any sources for performance goodies for the Busa intake let me know. I found a trick aftermarket fuel rail and more. Picked up my RE front end and valances on Good Friday. Yum.
