Full Bridge S4 turbo motor

Since my motor blew up I have been debating what I should do for my next motor. Do I build a streetport which would be relatively mild in comparison to a bridge and I can keep everything I have now and make a honest 350 to the wheels without super high boost levels or dive into the realm of the bridge… well this is what I have been thinking….since building a motor isn’t really that difficult I will start with a full bridge only replacing the broken parts as needed. Once I know that a full bridge will work the way I would like it to I will build a nice motor that is balanced and then buy a new turbo to replace the To4e I have now…yes I know that the motor will spin out a To4e and I will work on replacing it.

Anyhow; how many of you have a full bridge turbo motor is it different then a secondary bridge if so, how?

what could i expect with my To4e horse power wise

i think you answered your own question partly... the full bridge will instantly spool that turbo but also make that turbo your choke point. so that will be your limit, but i can honestly say that Bridgeports and Turbos are meant to be together. driveability is actually not as bad as one would think. might surge a bit tho at low loads and a bigger turbo.

cool... I would assume that lowering the exhuast port would be better then raising the the port so that overlap is limited... or does it really matter? my plan was to lower the port 7-10 mm widening it 2-3 mm on both sides and raising it 2-3mm or should i just go big????

the eyebrow cut on the bridge, should i go the full length of the opening side or should i keep it closer to the top (bridging only the up 2/3 of the port for reduced overlap) or does it matter becuase a bridge is a bridge and no matter how big or small it will have simialer effects????

I raise mine as much as i can. i always figured the overlap is good.

you dont need any port if your goal is only to hit 350whp. a to4e can easily do that on stock ports at around 12 psi.

i guess it would be getting close to 10mm up and down, just as far as the exhaust sleave allows you to port.
