Fuel question, injectors and turbo sizing
Hey guys. I have an 85 GSL and blew my motor a few months back (87 T2). Over the winter I am going to rebuild and streetport it, get rid of the bosch fuel pump and get a walbro, T4 60-1, and a used HKS wastegate of my my mechanics 3rd gen. I already have a custom 3 inch exhaust with no cats and front mount intercooler and a cartech fpr. with the stock ports and stock turbo b4 it popped my moter made 270.1 rwhp and 243.4 lbs/ft of torque at 13.5 psi.
With the new turbo and porting I want to run 10 psi (for reliability as it's daily driven in the summer) which should net me at the very least 310-315 rwhp.
Anways, if I replaced the secondaries with 720's, would this be enough fuel for around 10 psi with the 60-1? Suggestions?

No, you will need bigger than that.
I'm doing almost the same setup and I'm using 1600cc secondaries with 720cc primarys controlled by a Haltech.
How do you plan on controlling yours?

Stock computer of course. I don't need haltech. my friend was using stock comp on his turbo 2 with 4 additional 550's controlled by an aic making 420rwhp at 25 psi. Ran excellent and same motor all year

i would recommend a cosmo fuel pump over a walbro, your looking at the 255 right. i still would recommend the cosmo good for 550fwhp. and with your 3" exhaust and a 60-1 turbo your atleast going to need 2 550s and 2 1600s. you could do 2 720s and 1200s+ that would get you right around the 400fwhp department for fuel calculations. which would be fine, also i have a question on your fuel system how did you set it up? intank system or external?

It's set up external since the 1st gen is set up like that anyway. How much hp is the 255 lph walbor good for? you don't think 720 secondaries would do the trick? I only am going to run 10 psi for hopefull a little over 300 rwhp.

I pulled 270.1 rwhp with the stock injectors on my second dyno run. and still daily drove the car for 6 months after that b4 it popped. wasn't running lean either. always pulled very strong and very smooth

well i dont remember what exactly the flow chart #'s of the 255 are, but i think it maxs out right around 300fwhp. go find a fuel calculator and see what it says for your setup, you could do like 8 550's and i think that would be a totally pita to control them. just remember bigger is better
how did you run the external setup? sump it or just use the stock pick up?
