Front Mounted IC

I am looking into the c-westin N1 front end. How does it look if you don't have a FMIC. Also, where can you find them...the only place I have seen any is www.rx7.com and they just got pics of Greddy FMIC's. What do you all think, initially I wanted to go with the m2 medium ic but I am really not sure.

m2 downpipe
hks turbo timer
autometer gauges
fluidine radiator
racing beat dual tip exhaust (on the way)
greddy profec b (on the way)
pettit ecu or power fc (deciding)
FMIC or m2 medium IC (deciding)

Here are some links for you that have the C-West front bumper.

http://www.rxecret7.com/index.html

http://www.rotaryextreme.com/

I'm getting the GReddy 3 row front mount intercooler soon. I also have the C-West N1 front and think that getting the front mount would look sick with the C-West. As for your ECU if you have the money go all out and get the Power FC. I personally love this unit and highly recommend using it.

If you need a front mount intercooler click on the RX7 Store link at the top of the forum. Personally i like front mount intercoolers, but this has been debated 100 times
Use the search function at the top of the forum and do a search for front mounts.

Which is better Blitz FMIC or the new Greddy? What are the dimensions? Does the Greddy need the elbow?

RX7eaven;

I have the C-westin N1 front bumper with the Greddy '3row' FMIC and it looks really good. If you are not going with the FMIC I suggest you to get the grilles and cover the big opening on the bumper. Because you don't want any debris to flies in the bumper.

My next question has to do with the intake. What intake can I, or can I not have? I notice that the pipes go up right next to the right front headlight. Does that mean that I have to just use filters without a box such as m2 or pettit?
Thanks

I just recently installed the Blitz FMIC which I got from Jason.
It's core is 4" thick, 11" tall, 19" wide, with 15 rows.

From a previous post the Greddy FMIC is:
4" x 10.5" X 16" and has 15 rows.

RX7 Fashion From a previous post:
3" X 10.5 X 24" and looks like it has 14 rows from the picture.

I have the C-West front too, with the Apexi FMIC kit, and its alright, but its not up against my front bumper where I would like it to be, to show off ..........You have to be looking a little deeper into the middle of the front to see my FMIC......

This is a pic of my car with the C-west front bumper and the Greddy FMIC. If you are not getting the FMIC I suggest get some types of grilles to cover the front bumper because it is a large opening in the front.l

Very nice car AARotary. I like it a lot. What kind of intake are you running, also (if you don't mind)where and how much did you pay for the greddy fmic? Thanks again for your help.

I am using the Greddy intake kit that comes with the single turbo kits, it is the foam type filter. As far as the FMIC it is the newest intercooler offered by Greddy it is 3Row that is made for the T-78. I bought it for $1475 from Jason at RX7store.net.

AARotary,

Can a license plate fit flat inside the top part of the opening of the bumper.. I'm trying to figure a way to hide my license plate where I can hit a button or sumtin and have it fold out when I see a cop..

I don't see why not, well most likely if you pass a cop you will draw more attention and he will probably pull you over. So you mean that you want your license plate to be in front instead in the back.

Well.. the rear plate will be there ..but i want the front to hide... then when a cop comes. i can lower the plate.. it's like those plates that they have in the rear that fold down and the bright lights flash..
