Finally found the 12's at the track...
Finally on my 27th pass in the car (not all tonight of course) I made it into the 12's. It was a 12.7453 at 108.99 with a 1.8743 60'. I ended the night with a 12.53 at 109.17 with a 1.8337 60'.
Now I just have to shave another .5 seconds and hello 11's!!!!

ET streets...I am hoping for 11's. I don't know how many people have made it to the 11's with stock twins and a non ported engine. I am going to try and get my 60' down a little 1.79 was my best. Then I will work on shifting a little faster. I need a night where it gets in the low 70's to high 60's. Then a little race gas...I think that's what it will take to get into the 11's. My car has run 114 mph.

Fastrx7man, race gas just protects your engine at higher boost levels. It does not add power. Run the gas your car was tuned on, whatver it was. Your tuner can push the limit further with race gas but if you are not tuned for it, it may even run worse.
You can knock off some time with a better 60 foot time (keep pushing up your launch RPM) & powershifting. I do not suggest powershifting for the 2nd to 3rd shift as it cost me a tranny when I banged it somewhere between 3rd & 5th, but you may be less klutzy than I am. For that particular throw I suggest "making haste slowly" but powershifting 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th is a piece of cake.
If I get a weather break tonight I hope to hit the 11s myself.
Again, great job.

Ok on the powershifting thing, I'am a little hesitant to do this. I also would only do it on a 1st to 2nd and a 3rd to 4th up shifts so I can really just slam it down really quick into gears. The thing I'am afraid of is over reving it by the time I let the clutch out again since I'am already real REAL close to redline, how are you supposed to do it properly?

Streetking I am shifting by the seat of my pants rather than the tach but it turns out to be around 8,000-8,100. I have a functioning rev limiter that I never hit.
Start by trying it 3rd to 4th & at something less than WOT. As i said above, my one shot at 2nd to 3rd ended in disaster last year and required me to buy a new tranny. I don't think it's a good idea for that throw.

If you have run 114mph trap speeds then it's a matter of time for those 11's
I ran as fast as 11.56 @ 122.12mph with stock motor and turbos on Nittos drags w/ 1.78-1.8 60ft's...
I just started running those ET streets andve them too...launch @ ~6krpm and the car simply slingshots forward......1.62 60ft so far.
these tires take all the launch shock away from the drivetrain....
so far w/ ported motor and stock twins...11.3 @ 123mph w/ boost dropping......trying hard for a 10.999
Good Luck,

10.999 would be awesome. I am going to the track tomorrow night. I am hoping to hit 11's but will be satisfied with low 12's for now. It's only getting down to about 80 degrees at night. I need low 70's to high 60's. I am hoping I can get the car to weigh in with me at less than 3000 lbs.
The one bad thing about hitting 11's is then I have to install a roll bar. That's going to cost several hundred dollars and add weight.

Bucrx7...good luck getting that time down. This Wednesday will be my last time to the track before dyno and tuning.
I am having my intake pipes, Efini y-pipe, crossover pipe and my last intercooler pipe polished. Hopefully they will be done tomorrow.
Then it's a quick install of the pipes plus a new Greddy Type S BOV. I will also reinstall my racing plugs. After that it's some race gas and hope for low 12's!!!!!
