Fast Rotaries came to Alabama.. 7, 8, 9 sec rotaries.. pics..

About a week ago, i had a chance to go check out some fast rotaries. And as my girl friend puts it, ugly rotaries making loud noises.. But they were FAST!!! (I personally would love to get a hold of one of these).

By the way Jesus Padilla and Carlos Gonzalez Jr. was there.. I had a nice conversation with Carlos and missed Padilla's run.

This could be the next big thing down in SE. Next event will be in late summer.

That wagon was awesome.. Talked to the owner and he said it runs mid 8s. They were test tuning it and ran 12s. He let it go around 1/8 mile and roll the rest.

Man did you read the post correctly he let go at the 1/8 mile and rolled the 1/4 mile in 12 seconds. Man I wish I had those tuning problems imagine his times when the car makes a full pass. Letting off at the eighth and rolling 12 seconds in the quarter mile, that car has plenty of potential.

Yes you read it correctly. He let go at the 1/8 and rolled thru the 1/4 at 12 seconds. lol

Supposed to be an 8 second car when its finished with the tuning. They were just making some test passes trying to dial it in and work out some bugs.

It's funny that the pictures you took were of a bunch of Datsun 1200's with rotarys and I was looking at the list of cars in the VBgarage and looks like I'm the only one here with a rotary powered Datsun 1200.
