Hi all,

Can anybody give an estimate on 1/4 mile time of a S2 RX7 with a stock S5 13B intercooled turbo?

Hmm. Let's say 2700lb with driver, and 200hp. If you drive it right you should see in the 13.9-14.2 second range, and around 98mph. Depends on how much traction you have, and how good of a driver you are. (Most performance improvements are from adjusting the nut holding the wheel!)

guestimate on 1/4 mile time??

Ok... here goes. I have a 93 with a single garett turbo, I just bought the car. I think it is around the same size as the T-78... I have a front mount intercooler, underdrive pulleys, hks super dragger exhaust, hks blowoff valve, greddy elbow, air fuel ratio, and boost autometer guages, aftermarket radiator, and a street ported engine... I can't run it because I need to fix a part on the tranny... so I would appreciate guestimates...

i sure as hell hope you have some sort of a fuel system to go with all those mods you listed. otherwise your car wont run for reasons FAR beyond "some part" on your tranny.

you'll get to see what an apex seal looks like after you toss one through your turbine housing

ok sickboy...

I just bought the car the first week of November. I have already replaced the shifter essembly, sparkplugs , wires, tires, oil, coolant, well, lets just say all fluids. I realize the engine needs a power fc, and larger injectors, hence the reason it sits at home. The idiot that had the car before me had the leading spark spugs, and the trailing on backwards, and the mapp sensor was slightly disconected, so the car stalled on me. trying to start it fludded the engine, and now I get to pull the plugs yet again... yippie.I have gone over this car with my friend, who is a biggie on the 7, with his 93 r1. And yes, I also have the r1. I am new to the rx-7 theme, I had a 1991 toyota mr2, and made it like new. So the plans are the same with this one. I have almost enough money to buy the power fc, and will then start on the injectors. Finding maps for the p/f/c is gonna be the hard part. Oh by the way the part on the trannie is the power plant frame, and the car has a six puck clutch (never get one)... I hate it, and I have been racing cars for a while. great for the track but for a daily driver, it sucks.
I also have a new stock (disk) every other part of the new 6 puck clutch is still there. I have also purchased all synchro's.
Fortunately, I know the one person from mazda that actually knows these cars like a book front to back. And bieng I have my own pest control company, he is williing to do a deal...
Gotta love the economy, lol. Anyways keep me posted on thoughts, cause like I said, I am still new, but I syudy and listen, after all thats how we all learn. Catch ya later... Brian-single 0 seven
