we are building up a cosmo engine for a FC. I got a few questions.

what flywheel and counter weight to use? it had a a/t flex plate on it.

what starter to use.

The balance is the same as the FD and 89-91 FC, so you can use stuff from either of them. Pre '89 is out as the rotational balance is different.

Or keep the A/T counterweight on it and get a aftermarket light weight flywheel.

Plese dont be fooled by the size of the runners ! There has been many a person who posted pics (even with mobile phones sticking in the ports !) to show just how huge they are

It does not make up for the fact that they have very gay stock port timing on the face plate. This needs to be improved if you want high revs and power that goes with it. Otherwise be prepared for the shitty 6.7k to 6.9k power peak then a motor that dies in the **** !

Nothing beats a proper "ported" engine, no matter how big a drain pipe feeds it (port runners)........ its gotta get thru the hole

yeah we are going to do the half bp as big as we can do without cutting into the water jacket and oring.

Be careful lugging around those front irons by that water pump stud. The "ear" has a tendency to snap off, though it is most prevalent in 86-88 13B's. This "ear" is also known to snap off due to vibrations from an out of round water pump (so check the runout on your new waterpumps!).

Brian,
I know, I'm just JEALOUS And without your and Hitmans help, I would've never got my car running right in the FIRST PLACE. Motor is still being built as we speak, I'll keep you informed when we get it up and running...Thanks a BUNCH!

OK, OK, I'll go down to Pineapple tomorrow and take pics of the plates and rotor housings. Still waiting on the center plate to be treated, then they'll start Porting and assembly.
