Hello there,

this is the first post i have made to this forum so a quick intro : Im building a lotus 7 replica and using a 13bt engine. Nice and quick

If you can get me an accurate drawing of the port design
design with dimensions i can write you the NC code for just about any controller you like

Dang guys 100-150 bucks is too much to pay for getting your surfaces blanchard ground. If any of you want I will surface them for $75 on the surface grinder at my dads tool and die shop. I do all of mine there.

BTW I would suggest to all of you that have had your plates ground/lapped/surfaced that you measure the depth of the o-ring groove. It shouldn't be any less than .058 or you run the risk of the o-ring not sealing properly and could actually blow-out the side wall of the o-ring groove when you compress the motor together. I did this with some teflon encapsulated o-rings but they were just a hair thicker than the stock o-rings. I need to get my bro to design a program to CNC out the o-ring grooves so we can keep on grinding these down instead of trashing them.

Yes we have 3d capabilities, we even have a 4axis lathe , I am a computer support man for various
CAD/CAM firms so if I can do it at my place I can get it done at one of my customers.

The problem I have is that my 13b engine is yet to arrive to I am unable to get any dimensions
from my own engine, I'm sure once it arrives I will be able to offer you
some good NC code and drawings. I have a huge range of facilities at
my disposable which have helped me build some monster reciprocating
engine's, their is no reason I cannot do the same with a rotary
