For how much power you can make will be determined by how much money you have to spend! (I know you can save money doing work yourself and buying used parts, but there is a point you have to pay to go fast)

Basically for a STREETABLE NA 13B, you are looking at a max of about 250 rwhp. This is acheiveable by bridgeporting the engine. If you aren't sure what that means, here is a decent page to read up on: http://www.rx7city.com/porting.htm

Your options for porting a streetable engine are streetport (mild or extended) and bridgeport (the limit for streetable). With the bridgeport your power should be between 225-250 rwhp depending on the size of port and quality of tuning.

If you arne't that familiar with rotaries (like know LOTS about them) then I highly recommend NOT to get a bridgeport. The engine requires specific work, and the maintenance is alot higher. All the tolerences on the engine are closer and more touchy so you have to know what you are doing to be able to have a successful bridgeported engine.

You probably would be best getting an extended streetport. You can get around 180-225 rwhp with it depending on the other mods and state of tune.

Hope this helps! Be sure to use the search function lots to research info, and we are here to answer more questions.

Bridge is right. You need money and know-how to do this. One thing you need to consider; your car has what is called a 6-port. If you build a bridgeport or anything for that matter your have a lot of changes to be made.
Forget the ECU(computer), the fuel system and all. They would not be useable. Also you would need side housings from a turbo motor in order to do the port work.
To make more horsepower it will not come easy from where you are starting at.
As long as your motor ran good compression and seems strong, if it is your daily driver you should leave it alone.
You have a pretty big learning curve ahead and you need to get in a local RX-7 club and buddy up with some people who have cars you can see for yourself.
That will tell you how much they know and get any decisions ran across them before you ever jump into anything.
