Cheap ICs

I was wondering if theres a oem intercooler on a truck or car that would work better on the t2 than the stock one

I heard that Isuzu truck intercooler works, I guess off one of the those commercial turbo diesel trucks. Also a Mitsubishi Starion intercooler will also might work, thats what I'm gonna try to fit on mine from my buddy's 88'. I could be wrong on this though, if someone else wants to chime in.

A friend of mine has a Starion FMIC, and the car is faster than it was with the stock IC. It's not what I would call optimal, but it does work. If you can get a good deal on the plumbing (my friend used boat ducting from a salvage yard), and you can plumb it yourself then it may be worth it. If you have to pay for fabrication then you should save your money for bigger and better things.

Isuzu NPR intercoolers are good, they have 2 sizes the smaller one is good and you can find them in great condition for around $100-150 the larger ones like I have you can find for $200 - $300 depending on condition. Here is the Large one

I know some people use the Starion intercooler, but it doesn't flow as good as a stock T2 intercooler. You'd be better off moving the stock item to the front or getting an intercooler from a turbo 626. It uses the T2 core with different end tanks for front mounting.
