Changing the steering rack ratio?
Changing the steering rack ratio?
Are there engineering companies that would adjust the ratios in a stock manual rack(FC in this case) for a price? Presumably a hefty price I'd imagine, but I thought I'd ask, since I wouldn't know where to look. Thanks guys!

i saw an adapter in summitracing that coupled into the shaft going into the gear box that could reduce or increase the gear ratio by 30% or 50% depeding on which one you buy, and which direction you install it
Just for clarification, the GTUs steering rack was the same p/s rack that the TurboII got. Had a ratio of 15:1 I think. Mel, I checked out Summit's website, couldn't find anything even resembling what you were talking about... =P Think you could link me or tell me where I could find it? I'd appreciate it!

could always get a smaller steering wheel. I swapped to the manual rack and it only seems to be difficult in parking situations when you need to make 180s. During normal or spirited driving I kinda like the extra turning distance. But I also have a 350mm steering wheel
